Mortgage Investor Specialist

Description

The primary focus of this role is to work closely with our Investors to remit funds daily, balancing, reporting, manage loan sales and troubleshooting discrepancies. All other mortgage servicing tasks as needed.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Daily cash remittance and balancing.
• Research and resolve any discrepancies.
• Manage all investor PMI drop reporting.
• Report all modification/hardships with sold loans.
• Manage investor invoices for appraisals and other misc. items.
• Actively research and review any new updates with investors.
• Prepares loans for sale and ships.
• Manage Mortgage Lock Desk requests and investor commitments.
• Draft mortgage servicing documents as needed.
• Prepare custodial account worksheets.
• Answers routine calls and/or walk in questions from members.

Other Duties

• Comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control

• Regular and predictable attendance
• Perform other duties as assigned to support effective department operation.

Requirements

Job Requirements Experience/Education/Certifications/Licenses

• High School degree or equivalent.
• 1-2 years similar or related financial experience or equivalent

Demonstrated Knowledge

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer skills including Microsoft products.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
• Knowledge of Encompass a plus.
• Strong understanding of Fannie Mae's guidelines, eligibility requirements, and processes for loan delivery and sale.

Communication Skills

Ability to proactively respond to members/associates to problem solve based on guidelines; written communications are based on templates but can be modified.

Physical Requirements

Ability to sit and stand; answer calls; operate computer; interact with internal associates and members on the phone; travel to designated offices; lift up to 20 lbs.

We are committed to providing salary ranges for all open positions. Please note that the specific compensation for this role will be determined based on your experience, qualifications, location, and internal equity considerations.

The salary range for this position is: $23.81-$29.00. This range reflects the base salary for this position. We have other benefits associated with this position which include: low-cost medical (as low as $20 a paycheck), dental insurance, vision insurance, quarterly bonuses, generous vacation and sick time hours, paid leave options, up to 6% 401k contribution, and tuition reimbursement.
