Job Details The Department of Medicine at Sidney Kimmel Medical College is seeking qualified candidates for a faculty position in the Division of Infectious Diseases.Job Description The Department of Medicine at Sidney Kimmel Medical College is seeking qualified candidates for a faculty position in the Division of Infectious Diseases. The Division of Infectious Diseases is dedicated to the highest ideals of teaching, clinical care, and scholarship in the field of Infectious Diseases. The sixteen faculty members and six fellows see patients at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Methodist Hospital, Jefferson Hospital for Neurosciences, and The Wills Eye Institute. The division has broad expertise in all aspects of infectious diseases, including infectious complications of transplantation and HIV care. Responsibilities include general inpatient ID consultations and general outpatient ID visits. We are continuing to expand our research team to continue work in solid organ transplant, orthopedic infections, infections in individuals with substance use disorder (SUD), HIV infection, and non-tuberculous mycobacterial infections. Interest and experience in clinical trials and epidemiology is a plus for this position. We have established a multi-disciplinary atypical mycobacterial disease program with our Pulmonary/Critical Care Division and a dedicated clinical service to care for individuals with SUD who present with infectious complications. We believe these areas would be excellent opportunities for a new faculty member. Involvement in teaching medical students, pharmacy students, medical residents, pharmacy residents, and ID fellows is expected. Candidate Qualifications
