Position Purpose |
The Program Manager for the Master of Engineering Management (
MEM) Program is responsible for the comprehensive administration and coordination of the program. This role involves providing operational support to
MEM program leadership and serving as a key resource for
MEM students. The Program Manager manages the planning and successful execution of all program-related events and initiatives, collaborating closely with faculty, staff, alumni, and external stakeholders to ensure a high-quality experience for students and to advance the program's goals. |

- Bachelor's degree or the equivalent.
- Strong program management skills.
- Demonstrated experience in navigating and managing a diverse suite of software tools, including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher), Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, Drive) academic systems (Banner, Canvas, Rapport), and CRM platforms (HubSpot).
- Ability to solve problems quickly and completely with minimal supervision, to manage multiple projects, and to work constructively in a team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines, maintaining composure and focus.
- Consistently reliable in delivering high quality work on time, with a strong commitment to meeting project timelines.
- Experience in developing and maintaining relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal skills and exceptional communication and presentation abilities.
- Commitment to diversity and to serving the needs of a diverse community.
- Experience managing budgets.
- Three to five years of experience in a related field, with considerable autonomy.

Key Accountabilities
Description |
Program Management and Coordination
- Serves as the primary point of contact for MEM students, addressing inquiries and connecting them with relevant resources.
- Manages the orientation and arrival process for incoming MEM students each fall, including event scheduling, logistics coordination, and distribution of welcome materials.
- Supports the Corporate Collaboration Council (CCC) by maintaining regular updates on program developments, managing contact lists, and scheduling meetings.
- Plans, manages, and executes various MEM program events, handling all logistical components such as travel and accommodation arrangements, venue reservations, catering, agenda preparation, and event communications.
- Engages alumni and industry professionals to participate in practice and final presentation review boards for various MEM courses, coordinates with faculty academic coordinators to ensure overall effectiveness.
- Manages all aspects of the summer internship project course, including recruiting review board members, coordinating and scheduling individual presentations, administering sessions, managing travel for guests, and ensuring all logistics are handled with precision and attention to detail.
- Collaborates with academic coordinators to coordinate class needs and guest speakers' visits.
- Manages inventory and distribution of gifts for program events and guest speakers.
- Coordinates the application and selection process for the annual MEM Conrades Fellowship.
- Collaborates with the MEM student council, supporting their requests for funding and programming.
- Plans and executes all logistics for MEMPC meetings hosted at Dartmouth.

- Documents and disseminates meeting minutes for key program committees, such as the CCC and MEM Curriculum Committee.
- Processes financial documents, manages invoices, and tracks department budgets to ensure fiscal responsibility.

- Maintains accurate and up-to-date databases for student records, program information, and alumni contacts.
- Organizes and manages department documentation, ensuring accessibility and compliance with office procedures.
- Collects and maintains student resumes for distribution to employers and synchronizes data with the Directory of Industry Engagement and Thayer Career Services.
- Maintains an updated and accessible alumni database.
- Provides administrative support to MEM leadership, managing student program plans, forms, and documentation for both current students and MEM alumni.
