Summary: The Lean Sigma Champion provides expertise and guidance through the development, documentation, implementation, and validation of focused and sustainable value stream transformation. Support cross-functional collaboration in the identification, team formation, and execution of value stream activities. Promotes best practice sharing and implementation. Provides coaching and development opportunities to strengthen the overall capabilities within the site while emphasizing operational excellence and continuous improvement. This position will require a prior background within electronics manufacturing, with an EMS CM or OEM and preferably with an emphasis on PCB, PCBA. Responsibilities: * Alignment of value stream with site, regional and global strategy. * Works closely with Corporate Lean Sigma Director to introduce and sustain Lean culture. * Provides leadership, coaching and support in Value Stream sessions, project identification, and prioritization. * Provides aggressive leadership in Lean to increase product velocity and quality while reducing transformation cost. * Engages with Value Stream owners to create a system for human development through Kaizen events, Blitzes, and Lean projects. * Provides coaching and facilitate Bronze Certification projects and mentoring sessions. * Encourages risk taking and experimentation using Lean and scientific tools and methodologies. * Maintains proficiency in the latest Lean tools and methodologies. * Aligns with local Lean rewards and recognition program. * Assists Finance with collecting and organizing data to accurately track and report project savings. * Responsible for Lean metric reports and data integrity. * Completes monthly site maintenance of the Lean Maturity Assessment. * Anticipates customer expectations in advance by identifying and resolving problems quickly and efficiently. * Continually increases knowledge in Lean via books, courses and seminars. * Adheres to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor. * Complies and follows all company security policies and procedures. * Train employees as requested by site leadership in Six Sigma tools and techniques including Design of Experiments, Control Charts, Histograms and Root Cause Analysis leading to White, Green and Black Belt certification. * Use Six Sigma methodology and analytics to accomplish measureable business and process improvements. * Provide leadership, coaching and support in business analysis, process initiatives and DMAIC projects to produce measureable productivity gains. * Provide aggressive leadership in Six Sigma to understand, define and control critical processes. * Continually increase knowledge in Six Sigma via literature, courses and seminars Other information: * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Effective interpersonal skills * Effective multitasking skills and the ability to take on additional responsibilities as required * Effective organization and prioritization skills * Demonstrate high attention to detail * Ability to work with diverse groups * Demonstrates discretion, confidentiality, independent judgment and professionalism. * Ability to work with minimal supervision and guidance, exercising discretion and independent judgment. * Understanding of and ability to use continuous improvement tools. * Strong customer service and client focus * Working knowledge of productivity tools, including Microsoft Office products and Team's conferencing software * Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or closely related field preferred * 2+ years in experience in IE, ME, QE, Planning, Line Management or equivalent position. * Bronze Certification through Benchmark, recognized or accredited organization. * Experience in change management or project management * Equivalent combination of education, training and experience. * Demonstrates leadership in lean behavior, culture, Principles and Philosophies * Strong background in statistics and analytical skills * 2+ years in experience in IE, ME, QE, Planning, Line Management or equivalent position. * Six Sigma Black Belt Certification through a recognized or accredited organization. * Experience with Minitab or similar software required * Proficient in flow charts and process mapping. * Demonstrates enthusiasm and passion for Six Sigma principles and tools Education: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or closely related field preferred and Six Sigma Black Belt Certification through a recognized or accredited organization.
