And our work to improve lives is never done.The Surgical Services Attendant performs a variety of service and direct patient care activities related to the medical care of patients who are undergoing surgery, which support the nursing staff in providing quality healthcare to each patient. Direct patient care activities are related to: the transportation and transfer of patients, equipment, supplies and specimens to and from designated areas; positioning of patients based on patient surgical needs, preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative care; the cleanliness and upkeep of all transportation equipment; maintenance of adequate inventory of supplies pertinent to the departmental operation.
