Astound Broadband Powered by Wave is currently searching for a Construction Coordinator in our Grover Beach, CA market. The Construction Coordinator will assist in coordinating construction efforts through in-house and contract labor for new construction and rebuild projects. This position is responsible for the safety and quality of work performed within the construction department.

Where you will work:



  • This position will be based in Astounds Grover Beach, CA office.



A Day in the Life of the Construction Coordinator:



  • Coordinate construction efforts through in-house and contract labor for new residential and commercial construction and rebuild/upgrade projects
  • Generate desk top quotes and final quotes in the field for video, voice and data projects with quick turn-around times to sales executives and managers
  • Coordinate with engineers and developers in designing the plant; Draw and sketch installation and location of equipment such as amplifiers, power supplies and cables; Complete material orders needed for planned construction
  • Maintain inventory for maintenance and construction materials
  • Monitor contractor performance; Perform quality checks on completed work; Ensure adherence to terms and conditions of agreements;
  • Work with permitting authorities and utilities to coordinate permitting and make-ready process
  • Communicate with Project Manager or designated supervisor regarding construction projects
  • Review and process damage claims
  • Field and assist with buried service drop requests for residential and commercial customers
  • Communicate with business owners, developers and residential customers
  • Other duties as assigned



What You Bring to the Table:



  • 5 Years Cable Television or Telecommunications Technical Experience
  • Knowledge of National Electrical Codes and skilled in using connectors, fasteners, wiring, and various hand tools.
  • Strong problem-solving, time management, and analytical skills with proficiency in mathematics and computer applications.
  • Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds, navigating diverse terrains, and performing repetitive motions; comfortable with prolonged sitting and standing.
  • Excellent customer service, verbal and written communication skills; able to work independently or collaboratively.
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record compliant with the company policy.



Education and Certifications:



  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Successful completion of the NCTI Service Technician course and/or SCTE BCT/E Certification

The base pay range represents the low and high end of the hiring range for this job. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to relevant skills, experience, and capabilities. The base salary range in California for this position, plus opportunities for bonus, benefits and commission, if applicable, is:



  • Construction Coordinator I - $24.00 - $33.60 per hour
  • Construction Coordinator II - $25.20 - $35.28 per hour
  • Construction Coordinator III - $26.46- $37.04 per hour
