Location: Vancouver, WA (Admin) - Management How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW? Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist- Location: Vancouver, WA (primarily remote/travelling) - Benefits at Airgas include Medical, Dental, 401k, paid holidays, vacation, and much more. http://www.airgas.com/company/careers/employee-benefits The salary range for this position is $ 78,000- $ 89,000 How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW? You will oversee the development and installation of a comprehensive employee environmental, safety and health (EHS) program with the goal of reducing work related accidents and injuries. You will provide administration support for the EHS programs and be responsible for the implementation, coordination, and evaluation of all safety policies and procedures for the region. In particular, you will: - Educate and develop a culture that encourages Good Catch Submittals, incident reporting and ensures appropriate response to reports. - Emphasize and reinforce the Company's Zero Incident culture to all employees. - Assist in periodic plant and store safety inspections; prepare reports of any findings with recommendations for corrective action(s). - Ensures facilities are prepared and in compliance with OSHA, DOT, EPA, DHS, County and Internal audits as required. - Maintain all regulatory permits, certifications, and licenses that pertain to plant operations. Lead the Environmental Compliance Program to assure compliance with all environmental permits and permit related activity. - Perform mathematical and statistical analysis to interpret environmental data. Maintain and report environmental auditing, compliance, and training metrics to senior management. - Keep stormwater plans, permitting, and DMR reporting paperwork up-to-date. Inspect catch basins monthly, complete annual training with associates, and schedule routine cleaning and maintenance of catch basins via a third party. Are you a MATCH? - Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Occupational Safety, or similar discipline (preferred); - Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) designation (preferred); - Minimum 3-5+ years' experience in safety related capacity; - Must be knowledgeable and understanding of DOT, OSHA, EPA, DHS rules and regulations and training requirements; - Must have valid driver's license and clean driving record; - Must have reliable transportation and be able to work flexible hours; - Must be able to work in a drug-free environment.
