POSITION SUMMARY

The Fiberglass Mold Technician ensures quality standards are maintained for each tooling mold created as they are manufacturing tools and aids used to increase the reliability, accuracy and quality of the manufacturing process while minimizing production cycle times. The Fiberglass Mold Technicians are responsible for making all molds for RealTruck/A.R.E.

CORE FUNCTIONS



  • Operate several pneumatic tools: grinders, saws, drills, etc. Other equipment required: table saws, band saws, miter saws.
  • Spray various materials, such as, gel coat, primers and resins.
  • Detailed hand work on patterns and molds.
  • Modify prototype molds.
  • Make fiber glass shells for new molds and understand how to layup of fiberglass to produce fiberglass molds.
  • Build wooden boards/boxes to support tools/molds.
  • Repair production tooling.
  • Weld and fabricate using measuring tools.
  • Sand and hand polish new molds/tooling for injection mold tooling.
  • Use tool design skill set to design molds utilized in production from vehicle parts working closely with engineering.

Education and Experience:

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
