The Outreach Coordinator II, Wings of Hope provides operational leadership of the Wings of Hope environmental education Program the primary champion of the program's mission to build bridges of hope for the endangered Florida Panther, wildlife, and the natural world with education, research, awareness, and kindness. Develops and implements programs, projects and activities that support the strategic goals and objectives of the program and serves the educational needs of schools and community organizations.

Job Description Typical duties may include but are not limited to:
- Develops and implements programs, projects and activities that support the strategic goals and objectives of the Wings of Hope Program and serves the educational needs of schools and community organizations.
- Provides oversight and direction of the administrative operations of the program. Translates strategic goals and objectives into operational initiatives.
- Engages FGCU students as program assistants to support their professional development as educators and science communicators
- Partners with Southwest Florida K-12 schools, local, state, national, and international community organizations to advance environmental education in the region.
- Solves operational problems, develops solutions, interprets and administers policies and procedures, and resolves issues and concerns.
- Conducts program assessment and evaluation to make recommendations for improvement of outcomes, including quantitative and qualitative analysis.
- Provides project coordination and support, including budgeting and program reporting.
- Solves operational problems, develops solutions, interprets and administers policies and procedures, and resolves issues and concerns.
- Cultivates private sector partnerships to develop outreach and educational projects.
- Creates multiple publications including brochures, flyers, announcements, invitations, bulletins, newsletters, and handbooks.
- Plans and implements special projects as assigned.

Additional Job Description Required Qualifications:
- This position requires either eight years of directly related full-time experience or, as an alternative, a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and four years of full-time experience directly related to the job functions.
- Professional fulltime experience in K-12 teaching, environmental and/or science education, community outreach, higher education, or science & research communication.
- Working knowledge of Florida K-12 Sunshine State Standards.
- Experience coordinating and facilitating campus-community outreach, especially with K-12 schools.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience, and/or certifications may be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree from an accredited institution in Environmental Education, Education, Environmental/Marine Science, or closely related field.
- Fundraising experience, including grant development and donor engagement
- Experience recruiting volunteer, work study, internship, and/or graduate students and facilitating their service/work/study opportunities.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, and coordination of people and resources.
- Knowledge of C-Palms and Next Generation Science Standards.
- Skill in developing and delivering standards-aligned curricula, lessons and training resources for various audiences.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Skill in online, classroom, and field teaching and instruction.
- Skill in learner assessment and program evaluation.
- Strong organizational skills and an ability to prioritize and complete simultaneous projects within deadlines toward long-term and short-term goals.

- Ability to routinely travel to and work at sites around Southwest Florida.
