Programmer/Analyst - Counce, Tennessee

General Summary: To provide development, support and maintenance for all plant's application system under the prevue of the IT Department. The duties for this position include analyzing and resolving problems in an expedient manner, write, debugs, and supports the application development life cycle of current desktop and server applications using Microsoft Visual Studio. Also supports the Microsoft SQL environment; create, updates and maintains the databases environments. Also write and debug code for existing and new desktop and server applications. The incumbent will interface with internal and external end-users to support and maintain end-user computing needs and will report to the Manager of Information Services. Facility is a 24x7 operation, rotational call duty is required.

Basic Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology Systems or equivalent system development experience is required. Minimum of 1-2 years previous work experience in related ITS development area preferred.

Must have a strong development and business applications knowledge.
Must have strong business analytical skills in maintenance management, AP, AR, G/L and other critical financial applications.
Understanding of SQL (application and server) and Microsoft VB/C#.net languages are mandatory.
Must have a proven system design methodology and application design resolution skills.
Must have experience with IT user security and operating system administration covering various platforms/applications. Familiarity with IBM AS400 operations a plus.
Must have experience investigating and resolving help desk service requests and use of help desk software.
Must have strong organizational skills to handle numerous details, deadlines and requests.
Must have the ability to adapt to and work effectively an independently in a fast paced, multitasking environment.
Must be able to evaluate and prioritize tasks for efficiency and completeness.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with individuals throughout the company on departmental procedures, policies and requests for information.
Must cross-train with IT staff.
Must be able to work rotational call duty, after hours, and on weekends as assigned or needed.
