A part-time Internship position is available in the Mian Lab in the Human Biology Division. The Mian Lab is focused on understanding the basic biology and treatment resistance mechanisms of prostate and bladder cancer. Our group employs cutting edge molecular techniques and will work closely with other solid tumor oncology research teams throughout the Human Biology Division and Fred Hutch Cancer Center.

We are seeking a detail-oriented, collaborative, and organized individual to join our team. This Internship position is for individuals seeking experience in a laboratory setting for career development purposes. You will be responsible for supporting lab personnel on ongoing experiments and learning basic laboratory operations.



Responsibilities

    Collaborate and assist lab members on ongoing experiments
  • Learn and perform basic laboratory skills
  • Learn to interpret experimental results and analyze data
  • Gain knowledge of laboratory operations
  • Assist in preparing and maintaining laboratory reagents, stocks, cultures, etc.
  • Gain experience in assisting with mouse work
  • Perform other duties as required


Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related scientific field
  • Demonstrates scientific knowledge in the area of study

The hourly pay range for this position is from $20.76 to $29.54 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
