The Administrative Coordinator - Outpatient is responsible for providing a wide range of administrative support for the Outpatient Therapy team, the Outpatient Manager, and the Director of Clinical Services at Glen Oaks Hospital. These functions include client enrollment support for the Outpatient function, completion of utilization review/pre-authorization of clients through various insurance companies, compilation, and creation of regular reports for purposes of Outpatient client tracking as well as providing general office and administrative support relating to the Outpatient therapy function including support with confidential patient records as required. Great attention to detail is required for coordination, tracking of milestones, scheduling, and attending to client needs and insurance requirements, records, and scheduling needs.

Position Hours: Monday - Friday, Day Shift


Qualifications

Education: Associates degree or equivalent of two years experience in business administration, finance, organizational development, medical assisting, accounting or related field. Bachelor's degree preferred.

Experience: Minimum one year experience in an administrative support role, preferrable with two or more functions to support. Prefer experience in healthcare environment with comparable level of adminsitrive responsibilities.

Additional Requirements: CPR certification and training in appropriate use of Handle with Care (HWC) and Verbal De-escalation prior to on-the-job training.
