This remote position will be responsible for the development, implementation and management of the Bank's consumer lending compliance program; for conducting complex program implementations as well as internal auditing and reporting with respect to consumer lending compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop compliance policies and protocols with regards to the implementation and on-going compliance of consumer lending.
  • Develop and implement a compliance program to ensure accordance with state and federal laws to include licensing and other regulatory needs.
  • Determine compliance metrics and establish a system for tracking.
  • Review marketing and advertising collateral to ensure compliance.
  • Remain up to date on federal and state laws related to the organization and ensure policies are updated accordingly.
  • Perform compliance audits to determine whether protocols are being followed as well as opportunities for improvement.
  • Maintain up to date written documentation and policies related to the organization's business activities.
  • Create a compliance resource library for staff members.
  • Active involvement in the rollout of new programs and products.
  • Develop and administer requests for proposals and procurement processes.
  • Conduct complex program implementation, evaluation, and oversight of processes and policies.
  • Manage consumer lending program reporting.
  • Manage special and ad-hoc consumer lending projects as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in in risk management or
    compliance roles required
    .
  • Prior
    banking experience in compliance preferred.
  • Existing compliance certification or willingness to obtain such certification required.
  • Must
    be a strong communicator and capable of expressing oneself clearly both
    speaking and writing.
  • Superior
    attention to detail and ability to identify and correct risky practices.
  • Exemplify
    strong knowledge of industry protocols and best practices.
  • Excellent
    analytical skills and ability to accurately interpret complex documents
    and policies.
  • Ability and desire to thrive in a fast-paced remote environment that requires organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Possess a collaborative personality and value a team centric process.

  • Demonstrate an understanding of and follow established Bank policies, procedures, and regulations, cognizant of transactions, inquiries that appear suspicious, obtaining reasonable and verifiable explanations, notifying the Compliance Officer when necessary; completion of all web-based compliance training; resolution of all issues concerning BSA report reviews of suspicious activity and or cash transactions.

Physical Demands:

Sustained standing and sitting;

Frequent use of PC, including typing or sustained attention to monitor;

Occasional lifting of basic office files or equipment up to 20 lbs.
