The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Minnesota is seeking a board certified/eligible Pediatric Endocrinologist at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank on an academic track.

Position Highlights:
* This position will include
* Clinical duties working at the award-winning University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital (approximately 6-8 weeks of consultation service per year)
* Outpatient clinical practice on campus and/or one of our three outreach clinics.
* Expectations for leadership in fellowship education
* Opportunities and infrastructure support for clinical research and quality improvement

Qualifications

* Graduate of an accredited ACGME Pediatric Endocrinology fellowship-training program.
* Board eligible/certified with the Pediatric Endocrinology.
* Licensed or ability to acquire medical license and DEA in the State of Minnesota, and meet threshold criteria/qualifications for credentialing and privileges.
* Ability to receive work authorization in the United States from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and maintain legal status according to the requirements of the VISA.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience in Resident or Fellowship Education
* Eligibility and Desire to assume leadership role in the Pediatric Endocrinology Fellowship Program
* Experience in Clinical Research

About the Department

The University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital (UMMCH) is a free-standing hospital recognized as one of the best in the country. The pediatric endocrine program works closely with the adult program in both clinical and research endeavors, with a combined 30 open clinical trials. UMMCH offers innovative facilities with access to more than 50 subspecialities and convenient family-centered services. The division supports a 3-year ACGME accredited fellowship in Pediatric Endocrinology with an NIH funded T32 Training Grant. The Division has well-funded clinical research programs focused on improved understand and innovative therapies for type 1 and type 2 diabetes, islet cell transplantation including autoislet transplant for chronic pancreatitis, cystic fibrosis related diabetes, congenital adrenal hyperplasia, adrenoleukodystrophy, Turner syndrome, hypophosphatasia, growth disorders, obesity, precocious puberty, endocrine complications of cancer and hematopoietic stem cell transplant and global health.

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $191,200 depending on education/qualifications/experience

Time Appointment: 75%-100% Appointment
