About This Role

The Parking Control Officer includes duties like writing tickets on vehicles that are in violation of Parking Rules and Regulations, towing of vehicles that are excessive or illegally parked and working special events such as football games. Extensive training is given to each employee when they start working and staff meetings are held. Employee is expected to work with little or no supervision most of the time.


About Us

Parking Services is fully a self funded department whose primary objective is to provide adequate parking for all visitors, faculty, staff, and students of K-State. The department take a customer service first approach when interacting and providing services to the public.

This position is on-site.


What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:



  • Requires a high school diploma.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • One year of parking services or relevant work experience.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Customer service experience preferred.
  • Good organizational abilities.


Other Requirements:



  • Valid driver's license upon appointment.
  • Upon employment, training with new software, hardware, and equipment adapted by the department is required.
  • Work occasionally requires moderate to considerable physical exertion handling snow and ice melt during inclement weather.
