Position Purpose |
Under close supervision, unloads deliveries of food and supplies and moves and stacks merchandise in designated storage area/freezer. Fills kitchen orders. Assists with routine deliveries of catering and supply orders. Cleans storerooms, freezers and adjourning areas. |

- Must hold a valid driver's license and be qualified under the terms of the Dartmouth College Driver Safety and Motor Vehicle Policy

- Ability to stand for long periods of time and to lift and carry objects weighing up to 100 pounds.

Key Accountabilities
Description |
Responsibilities:
- Unloads deliveries of perishable and non-perishable food items and supplies.
- Stacks merchandise in designated storage location.
- Rotates old stock to front of shelves.
- Assists with the weekly inventory for specific food categories, e.g. produce cooler, * ice creams, etc. for Dining Services Purchasing Department.
- Assists with the delivery of supplies and equipment for major banquets and delivery and set up of routine catering orders.

- Drives a motor vehicle (panel vans and 5 ton truck) to make deliveries in a timely and efficient manner.
- Fills kitchen orders.
- Pulls items from storage shelves according to order list.
- Loads hand cart and delivers to the kitchen.
- Keeps storerooms, freezers and adjoining hallways clean and neat. Sweeps and mops floors.

- Removes trash and debris. Dusts or wipes down storage shelves.
- Follows proper sanitation and cleanliness procedures to ensure all health and safety codes have been met.
- Notifies supervisor immediately if temperatures change in cooler/freezers.
- Cleans and maintains motor vehicles in operating condition.
