RESEARCH ASSOCIATE I (CONTRACT/ONSITE)

POSITION SUMMARY

The Process Science Department is a group of scientists and subject-matter experts who conduct process and analytical development experiments in support of drug substance and drug product development. This position will work with development scientists in a non-GMP environment.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Participates in lab activities in support of process and analytical development experiments
  • Provides support to cross-functional project teams
  • Effectively communicates and collaborates with staff scientists
  • Maintains high-quality and organized records and documentation
  • Maintains a safe work environment and adheres to all applicable regulations and requirements including compliance with internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), GMP, Health and Safety, WISHA/OSHA, regulatory compliance, company policies, and employment-related laws and statutes.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

Required:



  • Current knowledge of scientific principles, concepts, and laboratory methodologies
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to independently perform laboratory experiments following an SOP
  • Experience with HPLCs using Empower software control
  • Team player who can communicate and collaborate with cross-department collaborators
  • Organized, strong time management skills, ability to be flexible to business needs and self-starter
  • Solid English language communication skills, both oral and written, are required for this highly collaborative role. Willingness and ability to clearly express opinions and ask questions. Comfortable actively participating in cross-functional meetings.
  • Proficiency with MS Office products, especially Word and Excel essential; ability and willingness to quickly adopt other job-specific applications will be necessary.


Preferred:



  • Experience with protein purification and semi-preparative chromatography


EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

Required:



  • B.S. or equivalent degree in science (Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, etc.) or related field (Chemical Engineering, etc.)


Preferred:



  • 2+ years of prior working experience in a regulated environment (GMP, GLP, etc.)

The current pay range for this position is $40.00 - $51.00 per hour: Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time. Your salary will vary depending on several factors including your qualifications and experience.
