Position Summary Reporting to the Dean, the College of Fine Arts Student Recruitment Specialist oversees, coordinates, and delivers student recruitment operations for all College of Fine Arts programs. This residential position serves the College of Fine Arts, located on the Eastern New Mexico University Portales campus. The Student Recruitment Specialist is responsible for effective administration, management, and operation of CFA Student Recruitment Operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of student recruitment, including visitor services, database management, contacting prospective students, and onboarding new students
- Collaboratively create, implement, maintain, and review the CFA student recruitment plan.
- Create and manage the CFA's database of prospective students and engagement
- Create and manage data for the recruitment, acceptance, and onboarding of new CFA students
- Facilitate communication between CFA faculty and prospective students
- Liaise with ENMU enrollment services
- Act as a liaison to, and maintain a positive relationship with, teachers, administrators, and counselors at K-12 schools and two-year collegiate programs in New Mexico and west Texas
- Travel to schools and college fairs, display marketing materials, collect contact information from, and develop ongoing relationships with prospective students and their families
- Coordinate and provide visitor services including tours, workshops and other events
- Collaboratively manage on-campus recruitment activity through departmental events: ArtFest, DramaFest, JazzFest, Men's Choir Festival, visitation days, Hound for a Day, etc.
- Oversee and manage the CFA's marketing display materials and marketing collateral.
- Coordinate marketing and promotion of CFA programs in the community, including social media.
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Minimum Job Requirements:
Required:
- A bachelor's degree
- Valid New Mexico Driver's License or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of employment
Preferred:
- A bachelor's degree in one of the CFA disciplines: Art, Music, Theatre, Film, Communication, or a related field
- Experience in creating and managing events, including educational and outreach activities and events
- Understanding of academic programs in the arts
- Ability to lead prospective student engagement initiatives
- Proficiency with Social Media platforms
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 suite
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Demonstrated technology and computer skills, including Microsoft 365
- Ability to work collaboratively with others to achieve organizational goals
- Ability to work independently without constant, direct supervision
- Ability to read and transmit written and oral direction.
- Ability to coordinate the scheduling and leadership of events
- Ability to communicate effectively by phone, online, and in person with prospective students
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; attention to detail; planning and organizational skills; and strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to analyze, problem-solve and formulate and recommend solutions
- Highly self-motivated and collaborative

Physical Demand and Working Conditions:
- Work is moderately active in nature that at times requires exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Some evening and/or weekend work is required.
- Standing for long periods may be required on an occasional basis.
- The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
