Organizational Unit Overview
Housed within the College of Engineering and Technology, Technology Systems offers five undergraduate degrees, three masters' degrees, four graduate professional certificates, and participates in a consortium-based PhD program. The department has 32 full-time faculty members and employs 15 part time instructors each semester as needed to serve approximately 1400 students.
Job Duties
The College of Engineering and Technology seeks a 9-month tenure-track assistant or associate professor starting fall semester 2025 to teach, advise, conduct research and provide service in the Department of Technology Systems with a program focus in with a focus in Cybersecurity, Cybersecured Manufacturing, Industrial Internet of Things, or Critical Infrastructure. Faculty members are expected to provide leadership in developing, teaching, and maintaining curriculum in both the graduate and undergraduate programs using both traditional and distance delivery methods. In addition to teaching, advising, and providing service, active involvement in outreach to industry is required. Development of externally funded research projects and peer reviewed publications are expected. Also, providing service to the university, community, and profession is expected.

Minimum Education/Experience
A terminal degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or an area closely related to the technology disciplines in the department from an appropriately accredited institution is required; or foreign equivalent. PhD is required to be appointed as an Assistant/Associate Professor. ABD will be considered; however, PhD must be earned prior to first reappointment consideration. Rank will be commensurate with education and experience.
License or Certification Required by Statute or Regulation

Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education
Industry experience or experience in teaching courses in Cybersecurity, Cybersecured Manufacturing, Industrial Internet of Things, or Critical Infrastructure at the university or college level is preferred. Experience in security posture assessment, security configuration, and cyberattack mitigation for information systems, networks, and hosts in both on-premise and cloud environments is desirable. Experience in Critical Infrastructure, Operational Technology and Information Technology security interaction and integration is also desirable.
