Position Description:

The Department of Accounting within the Tippie College of Business at the University of Iowa invites applications for one or more Tenure-Track Faculty positions at the level of Assistant Professor starting August 20, 2025. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications. Positions are 100% time with benefits. For more information about the Tenured/Tenure-Track Faculty policy, refer to the Policy Manual, 10.1.

Successful candidates will be required to self-disclose any misconduct history or pending research misconduct investigation including but not limited to sexual misconduct in prior employment and provide a related release and will be subject to a criminal background and credential check.

Education Requirement:


  • An earned doctorate or strong evidence that the doctoral degree will be completed before August 20, 2025.


Required Qualifications:


  • Evidence of successful teaching expertise at the undergraduate or graduate level in accounting.
  • Demonstrated potential for publishing significant research in top-tier journals.


Desirable Qualifications:


  • Demonstrated record of publishing.
