Location: Inovalon strives to provide a flexible work environment for our associates. This position is a hybrid role based out of our Canonsburg, PA office. You will be aligned to working at the Inovalon office location at least two days each week, between Monday and Wednesday. You must be able to comply with this requirement.

Overview: The Associate Business Analyst is the liaison between the company and the client. Works with Senior Business Analysts to define the objectives and requirements of our business strategies. Determines what the client requirements are and works with the design team and the developers to create a final product.

Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Works with client to understand their requirements of the system;
  • Assists Senior BA's and SME's in identifying / defining client requirements;
  • Works with Product development to communicate the client's needs;
  • Accountable for assigned functional track and deliverables;
  • Creating and maintaining deliverables within assigned area;
  • Participates in testing the product before it is released to the client, adequately describes defects and works to resolve them;
  • Assist in triaging escalated system defects and/or providing clarification on functionality;
  • Support each of the following parts of the full client lifecycle:


    • Project Kick-Off;
    • Implementation;
    • Go Live;



  • Provide support to the team during implementation as well as post go live;
  • Document and maintain deliverables (requirements document, Configuration Design Doc, etc.);
  • Configure system based on design;
  • Ensuring configuration meets requirements and works as expected;
  • Works with Senior BA's and SME's to provide business case for enhancement requests;
  • Assists design team and developers with understanding complicated requirements and designs;
  • Assists QA and Support with understanding client needs;
  • Further develop industry knowledge;
  • Provide support for internal training events as necessary;
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals;
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected;
  • Maintain compliance with Inovalon's policies, procedures and mission statement;
  • Adhere to all confidentiality and HIPAA requirements as outlined within Inovalon's Operating Policies and Procedures in all ways and at all times with respect to any aspect of the data handled or services rendered in the undertaking of the position;
  • Fulfill those responsibilities and/or duties that may be reasonably provided by Inovalon for the purpose of achieving operational and financial success of the Company;
  • Uphold responsibilities relative to the separation of duties for applicable processes and procedures within your job function; and

Job Requirements:



  • Experience in a healthcare/specialty pharmacy related environment preferred;
  • Familiar with healthcare/pharmacy system designs and concepts preferred;
  • Possesses excellent communication, organizational and observational skills;
  • Proficient problem-solving skills with good judgment and decision making;
  • Must be goal-oriented and focused;
  • Must work well as a member of a team;
  • Possess SQL and Crystal Reports skills.


Education:



  • Associate's degree is required;
  • Bachelor's degree in a related area of Healthcare and IT preferred.


Physical Demands and Work Environment:



  • Sedentary work (i.e. sitting for long periods of time);
  • Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force;
  • Frequently or constantly to lift, carry push, pull or otherwise move objects and repetitive motions;
  • Subject to inside environmental conditions; and
  • Travel for this position will include less than 5% locally usually for training purposes.

In addition to the base compensation, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.

The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity. At Inovalon, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.

Base Compensation Range
$59,400 $70,000 USD
