The Pro-Am & Partner Services Intern will work alongside the Tournament/Pro-Am Coordinator to provide an unforgettable experience for Pro-Am participants and tournament partners. The ideal candidate must be able to work well under pressure and in a team environment; must be extremely detail oriented and organized; must exhibit excellent written and oral communication skills. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Support the planning and execution of 4 Pro-Amateur golf events hosted during tournament week. Tasks include:
    • Actively update and maintain registration database with Trust Event Solutions tournament software
      • Pro-am registration follow-up and handicap verification
      • Email communication with all participants
    • Assemble all Pro-Am credentials and parking passes and distribute to participants
    • Lead the Pro-Am High School Caddie Program
      • Facilitate communication with high school coaches to provide details regarding the experience
      • Assist the Pro-Am Caddy Chair in execution of pairing caddies to their player
    • Communication with all Pro-Am vendors including F&B, gifting, and on course activations.
  • Assist with the planning, communication, and execution of the Pro-Am Draw Party. Tasks include:
    • Communicating with the venue on F&B, AV, event details, etc.
    • Sending out invitations to Draw Party guests and managing the guest list
  • Support the planning and execution of 3M Partner Program events
    • Events include a happy hour, a breakfast, and an off-site Pro-Am
  • Manage/assist with implementation of the PGA TOUR's Honorary Observer program
  • Organize all merchandise orders and help the Tournament Coordinator with corporate order fulfillment
QUALIFIED APPLICANTS MUST HAVE:
  • A desire to gain experience in a professional sports and entertainment environment
  • Knowledge in Word, Excel, Publisher and Power Point
  • Applicants must currently reside near the Twin Cities or be willing to commute.
  • Flexibility and willingness to work evenings and weekends
  • Full availability during tournament week in July
*Please note internships are unpaid.
*Internships will run from May 28th - August 1st.
