Academic IT Services

Job Description

  • Creation and Deployment of Apple systems/software utilizing JAMF for departmental and academic environments
  • Utilize Bash/Python Scripting for JAMF bundle package creation and deployment
  • Develop configuration policies, test and document findings, update and effectively communicate procedures
  • Assist with software acquisition, license management, and analytics
  • Provide technical support, including AV support, to campus faculty, staff and students in the academic labs, classrooms as well as departmental environments
  • Troubleshoot and facilitate problem resolution involving software applications. May extend support to include operating systems, hardware, and ancillary devices
  • Evaluate security updates and service packs for supported applications and perform necessary QCand certification for installation on all supported Mac clients
  • Documentation development for internal and external use, including knowledge base content
  • Provide training to team members as needed

7:00am-4:00pm or 8:00am-5:00pm

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and 2+ years work experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Jamf Certification
  • Bash Shell scripting knowledge
  • In depth knowledge of Apple/Macintosh
  • In depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office
  • Knowledge of Active Directory
  • Sassafras KeyServer or license management experience
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Must be very detail-oriented
Anticipated Hiring Range

51,875.20-66,809.60
