Job Summary

Serve as a Daily Rate Substitute Teacher, providing academic classroom instruction for students in the absence of the regular teacher.

Metcalf Laboratory School is a service unit of the College of Education of Illinois State University. It offers a comprehensive program of instruction for 400+ students in grades PreK-8. Metcalf is a caring community of life-long learners. Its mission is to act as a model for educational methods and theory in support of the preparation of future educators, conduct educational research, offer quality educational programs for children, and disseminate information to others in the educational profession.

Salary Rate / Pay Rate

$110 per day


Required Qualifications

1. Associate's degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution of higher education or show completion of 60 semester hours of coursework
2. Short-Term Substitute License through the Regional Office of Education
3. Demonstrates competent sign language skills OR competent braille skills
