Summary Job Description: PRN Shifts Vary Student Nurse Extern The Extern is a participant in the Student Nurse Extern (SNE) Program at any one of three levels. The SNE assists nursing staff by performing selected procedures and routine duties in caring for patients. All functions must be within the scope of training for their given EXTERN level and performed under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Additional skills are added to the SNE job responsibilities in alignment with progression through their undergraduate nursing program.
